Who doesn't love a good biscuit? If you live in the south biscuits are a way of life and most southerners make them using lard. That is how my husband's family makes biscuits, but I do things a little different.
I prefer real butter and just a little bit of honey. So, let's dive into these light and fluffy biscuits that are perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Fluffy Butter Biscuit Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 6 Tablespoons of chilled butter
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
- 3/4 cup of whole milk
- Parchment Paper for baking
Preparing to Make and Bake
- We begin in simple steps so first preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
- Now in a mixing bowl add the dry ingredients first and stir with a spatula.
- Then add honey, milk and chilled butter. I like to cut the butter into small slices so it's easy to blend into the rest of the batter.
- Stir until everything becomes one and then add a little flour to the counter and mold the batter into the shape of a log.
- Cut into sections of six and place each one on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden then let cool so they are not hot to touch and enjoy.
This biscuit recipe is such an easy one and if you use chilled butter, they will always be fluffy. Easy to make and delicious, you cannot go wrong with my butter version of a southern biscuit.
Be the good,
