Create Beaded Metal Hair Combs

With a few beads and the right Combs you can create a neat project for your hair.

After 28 years with no bangs, six months ago I thought it would be fun to try them again.  I am still asking myself, "What was I thinking?"

When you have curly hair, bangs are not the best idea so I found myself in another grow out stage.  With a sigh, this effort has taken some patience.  Who am I kidding, a lot of self control...

I stay busy, wear hats and hair accessories with hopes they will grow out fast; we are finally at the halfway mark.

Hair Combs have helped lift those short pieces away from my eyes but using a plain comb wasn't to my liking, so with a few beads and wire, it was time to get creative.

A list of items for the project.

Hair Comb Project Supplies

I was pleased knowing most of what was needed for this project was in my craft trunk.  If you want to duplicate by making something similar then check my supply list below.

Everything can be purchased on Amazon including the metal combs, which are wonderful.

Making Hair Combs Using Beads

This project really wasn't that difficult and you want to make sure your beads are easy to grab.
    1. Place beads onto a plate.
    2. Release about two feet of wire and attach to the end of the comb with a twist.  Don't over bend the wire because it will break.
    3. Add your first bead or a string of beads and carefully wrap the wire around the comb to connect.
    4. Continue repeating this process until you get to the end and cut the excess wire after you secure multiple times.  This is basically wrap and tuck.
I made a couple of these beaded hair combs in about an hour and they are very comfortable.  No hair breakage either which is a perk.

If you are in the middle of a grow out or just need to get your hair out of your eyes, these combs are great for pulling back the bangs.  This little step also helps you feel slightly cooler over summer.

For Supplies, shop the list above on amazon and as always thank you!
