After enjoying a nice Christmas and preparing for the new
year I began taking a deeper look at our 2025 goals. It seems my husband and I are
approaching a year of enterprise.
We are beginning with hope as we establish a better path for our present and future.
Enterprise meaning any project or undertaking whether it may be difficult, demanding or of major importance. This means a sense of energy is required to be activity engaged in what we are hoping to achieve.
Thinking about that got me a little concerned because sometimes we do not always have the greatest follow through. We start big and then push through and somewhere along the way we lose interest.
At times I feel like a bird floating through the air being pulled off target. But when I looked at our 2024 goals, we accomplished almost everything. Which meant we did not lose interest or get pulled off track.
That was a positive and a few things did fail to reach their potential but that was out of our control. They will be rolling over and probably the first things we check off our 2025 goal list.
I think the best thing about this new year is that I am not feeling anxious or overwhelmed. I prayed over our goals, which led me to removing some things so we can successfully enterprise.
One removal was raising bees, that will have to wait for 2026 because the plate is full. Instead, I will be doing a better job providing food for the bees that are currently here.
I wasn't happy about this decision, but it was the right one. Having hope for a better present and future is a detail that can help evaluate our choices.
When we set goals, they become an active part of our life. Robert and I check in quartering at our progress and reevaluate if necessary; this activity has helped define our early accomplishments. We did this in 2024 and will be carrying that tip over into
2025 to keep us energized.
I want to wish you all the best in this new year as you implement your own goals. I am encouraged by so many things and hope the same is true where you are.
Be the good,
Carole West
