The garden is in full swing with fresh greens, so I am
combining different ingredients to come up with some tasty smoothie flavors.
This one offers a little bit of fruit for the sweet and greens for a truly smooth flavor that is not overpowering. I used half of a frozen banana and a few cubes of frozen pineapple along with a few other surprises.
We are going to dive into the ingredients rather quickly so grab your Magic Bullet to blend everything together.
If you have not purchased a bullet yet or something similar, I highly recommend this product because it blends everything together beautifully with zero waste. Which means you are getting all the goodness in every sip.
Smoothie Ingredients
- Half of a frozen banana
- 7 small chunks of frozen pineapple
- One frozen freshly squeezed orange juice cube (I make these ahead of time.)
- Handful of fresh Arugula (heirloom arugula roquette lettuce)
- Fresh basil (about 10 leaves, a healthy plant top pinch)
- 2 or 3 Tablespoons of Greek Yogurt
- Milk – whatever kind you drink, I used whole milk.
First clean your ingredients from the garden and place
everything inside the cup, milk being last and lock in the blender cap before placing onto your
magic bullet.
Blend a good two minutes – you may want to stop at minute one to remove, shake and blend again. You can drink this delicious smoothie right out of the magic bullet cup or pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
This y’all is my drink of choice any time of the day when I want to cool off and taste some healthy goodness.
Be the good,
Carole West
