Jefferson Makers Market Restock

Just brought in a variety of new watercolors

A month ago, I decided to bring my art in person by renting a small space at the Jefferson Makers Market.  The focus for this location is to promote my art and books.

Since then, new vendors have joined; I have even sold some of my work.  Feeling completely humbled and encouraged I decided it was time to embrace a little bit of fall by adding a new series of watercolor notecards.

Adding framed original watercolors and fall notecards

I included some new framed pieces that express a heartfelt lightness.  A kind of simplicity in seeking movement through the flow of water.

For anyone wondering, my watercolor painting style is direct without sketching or drawing; I paint on paper using water and pigment.  Things do not always turn out but thankfully I have plenty of paper to try again.

I find when you paint daily, even for just 15 minutes fewer mistakes occur.  For me watercolor is about letting go of control and learning to relax.  The journey continues to be faith driven and I do love it.

So, if you haven’t been to the Jefferson Makers Market take a visit, I know you will enjoy your experience.  It’s nice to walk into a room where creativity shines bright.

My booth is on the right side of the room and a huge thank you to the people who purchased my work last month.  You have encouraged me to keep sharing my heart.

Be the good,
Carole West
