I’ve been writing a series that brings us to making friendship a
fine art. After days of pondering this topic, I have to say it really tugged at my heart. I am more of a loner as I have never been one with a large circle of friends.
I don’t look to fit in or follow the crowd and I'm known for spending the majority of my time with my husband. So, I didn’t really believe this was something I could honestly write about.
Then this afternoon I was thinking about friendship and the people that have come and gone in my life.
Specifically, my thoughts brought me to my favorite scripture, Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.
This scripture has been rooted in me for years and I find comfort in these words daily, especially as I write this. I’m going to leave you with that because imagine if we were to make life a fine art.
Wouldn't friendship follow?
Consider opening the New Testament to Galatians and take a deep dive into these wise words. I re read Galatians quite often because it speaks to my heart.
If you have missed earlier posts in this
series, then begin here as we have two more entries left in this chain and it looks like they'll take us into the new year.
See the Good,
Carole
