Corn is one vegetable we all like in our home and even Kramer enjoys it when added to his homemade dogfood.
A few weekends ago, I was cooking up a storm and needed one more dish. Corn was sort of on the menu and normally I boil up frozen corn add butter and call it good.
But when I looked at everything I had already prepared, I decided to dress it up with more flavor because I get so tired of doing the same thing.
This spicy corn recipe instantly became a family favorite and the best part, it's easy to make.
You can use canned, frozen or fresh corn sliced from the cob and wait towards the final minutes of serving to make because it's that quick to put together.
Recipe Ingredients and Prep
- 1 Tablespoon of butter
- 1 Chopped dried hot pepper
- 2 Tablespoons of fresh parsley
- 2 Cups of corn
Prepare
In a fry pan melt butter then add chopped dried pepper and let it sizzle for about 30 to 60 seconds. When the butter is melted add your corn and stir to make sure all three ingredients are joined.
Cook for 3 or 4 minutes on medium heat before adding fresh parsley. Finish by stirring everything together and serve.
Not only is this spicy butter corn recipe with fresh parsley tasty it adds a pop of color to any meal that is energizing.
Needless to say, when I served this with our meal there were no leftovers. It was so good that I recently made it again to serve with pork chops.
Good food doesn't have to be complicated and when paired with protein it's a win for everyone. This pork chop was a nice choice because I used my winter spice blend.
