When I was first introduced to the Casa Blanca lily, I was a very young floral designer.
I had never seen such elegance and the fragrance completely took me by
surprise.
At the time I had already been introduced to the stargazer lily, both being from the oriental lily family.
I was completely
smitten by these two. The Casa Blanca was different though; there was this sense of
beauty that felt uplifting and pure.
Very few
shops carried this flower because back then it was rather pricey. So, when they
arrived, I would look for the big orders, you know those $75 or $100 arrangements so I could use them in my
design.
To this day this lily captures my heart in a way that reminds me of God’s guidance.
A guide that begins with Christ, a belief of his amazing grace that equates to a grand sense of love for believers. A love that will genuinely bring us closer to God if we let go of our earthly ways.
We forget sometimes that through his creations he is present, reminding us that God will never leave us, and he doesn't make mistakes.
I find such comfort in his creations...
This year when I decided to grow Casa Blanca lilies, I was beyond thrilled when I found my bulbs.
After this first bloom made itself known, I made another decision to plant twice as many in 2026. I guess one could say more raised beds will be coming to this wonderful space.
The garden has completely taken me by surprise this year; it is a glorious sight. I go back to God’s guidance, I allowed my faith to work
through me, and the result has been simply fantastic.
I feel so blessed…
The beautiful Casa Blanca Lily is a reminder God is waiting to guide your path.
Be the good,
Carole West
