You are in good company if you have ever wondered what your
gifts are. We all have them; I believe
we were created to have a gift.
A gift is like a beautifully wrapped package. Something to open without ripping the paper and carefully removing the ribbon that holds everything together.
A “gift”
my friends comes from within and is the key to having a real purpose.
How do we know what our gifts are?
A gift is something you enjoy doing no matter what. It is something you are excited to participate in or feel naturally drawn towards.
When you pursue this talent, you become more confident, authentic and have a willingness to be present.
Three Gift Areas
Some of us are drawn to being artistic, others love to manage
and then there is a group of people with an entrepreneur spirit.
A gift can easily fall into one of these three areas; you may see yourself in multiple.
Which one speaks to you?
Think quietly for a moment and uncover where your personality fits.
An Artistic Gift
An artist is someone with the desire to create and put things together without over thinking. Their gift comes naturally without feeling forced.Inspiration enters from multiple areas, and every artist has their own medium. Some paint, others build, take photos, write and many develop from an idea.
This person might fall into the area of teaching a skill or offering words of wisdom. When they uncover their craftsmanship, they nurture it and have a genuine heart to give.
The Managing Gift
Managing is someone who enjoys leading and working with people. These individuals might be organizers; they problem
solve with a focus on improvement.
They might be administrators with a willingness to help others. They are not afraid of the truth and have strong communication skills.
A managing gift can be applied to multiple areas in business, organizations, a church and even in family.
They are strong people with a sense to reach the finish line and do good
at the same time.
Entrepreneur Gift
The entrepreneur is someone who enjoys coming up with new concepts, they are
always thinking outside the box and have more ideas than they could ever
pursue.
Many times, they will pass along ideas or save them for later. They are company creators and focused on making a profit.
These people are driven, have confidence and rarely give up.
They are wise and may start small in
the beginning but will eventually acquire a team of people to achieve their larger goals.
Knowing Your Gift
Knowing your gift will take a little self-discovery. Begin the process by removing the ribbon and unwrapping what could be keeping you from being great.
Place everything aside and take some time to reflect before opening your gift.
Ask yourself simple questions like, "what am I good at and
what makes me happy?"
You might want to consider your background, your family history or experiences that have brought you to this point.
Classes are another fun way to help unfold talent, but I am going to guess you already have an idea.
If that's true, then open your gift and let it be the twist to your next step.
Encouraging goodness,
Carole West
