Bright Fuchsia at Bear Creek Smokehouse

Watercolor artist Carole West

It's been a few weeks since I have had a chance to write and I have missed this time.  I am returning big with a piece of my watercolor art "Bright Fuchsia" at Bear Creek Smokehouse.

I love this business, and when you walk inside it smells like Texas.  It's a place where you can enjoy the best lunch, then shop in their general store for a variety of goodness.

So, if you haven't been, make sure to visit this month because they have some fun events on the weekends.

So how did this all come about you might be wondering?

Well, A few months ago I joined the Art League of Marshall where opportunities such as this become available in Marshall, Texas.

Stay tuned because I will be sharing more about this league next week.

Bright Fuchsia in bloom

This piece is placed right up front when you walk through the door.

"Bright Fuchsia" is an original impression, a spiritual flower symbolizing harmony, healing and love.

With all my watercolor paintings the approach is direct without sketching or drawing and I paint with a focus on water, pigment and paper.

This process is exciting and encouraging because there is no room for control.  You simply make it happen through movement and an eye for simplicity.

This piece is for sale, and I hope you get the opportunity to go see it in person.

Encouraging Goodness,
Carole West
