Once you have unwrapped your gift, then you create this rhythm to bloom. But what comes after that?
That's an awesome question because this mini-series leads us to applying your gift for good by taking it to great places.
Sort of like, how traveling down a country road can be a great adventure. We have no idea what we may run into or possibly see, and our curiosity keeps us moving forward.
I love these roads; especially when shared with someone else, they are like an unfinished story that can take our gift to a great place.
Applying Your Gift for Good
As we get shuffled down that country road it's as if we are leaves on a tree forgetting the point of this life all together. As Christians we are called to do good, we are also called to rest at times.
There is a saying, "resting in your gifts." This is when you take time to embrace, trust and find peace in what God might be calling you to do.
This can be difficult; you might need to practice some self-control in the process, and I guarantee it will be a precious time. For me, this has always led to silence with my bible and of course time in prayer.
One of my gifts is to write, I absolutely love it, been blessed to share in many avenues and my favorite is blogging.
I know where this gift came from and my attention has been centered on writing through my faith.
Applying this gift from my personal life and bringing it forward into my professional life to encourage goodness has been powerful.
Spirit led indeed, and this is just one example of applying your gift for good. There are thousands of examples and new ones are taking place every day.
So, whatever your talent might be spend quality time in prayer. Discover how to use it for good by taking yourself out of the equation.
You might be surprised that applying your gift for good is easier when it's not about you.
