Affordable Garden Storage

One of the many benefits of raised bed gardening is that you don't need a lot of equipment to get the job done.

I have a small assortment of tools that I use from one season to the next and everything fits perfectly in my garden tote with a couple exceptions.

Organization is the key to success, and it drives my husband nuts.  But after 30 plus years of marriage he has learned to live with it because I just function better this way.

For me, keeping things simple and knowing where everything is stored saves time. But finding affordable ways to stay organized in the garden can look different for everyone.

If like things to be handy and have minimal space, then you are going to appreciate this affordable garden storage idea.

The benefits and where to find such an awesome trash can for garden storage

Affordable Garden Storage Idea

My affordable garden storage is a new galvanized garbage can.  This happened by surprise because originally, I purchased this for something completely different.

When that idea failed, I decided it would be perfect in the garden for storing winter tarps, small garden tools and my electric Stihl trimmer.

Most everything I use for gardening can fit in my tote.  So, all I do after working outside is place the tote inside, close it and walk away.

But you can clearly see that I currently have things tossed everywhere. When it warms up this will be emptied and reorganized.  I call this the result of cold weather and being in a hurry.

But let's take a look at the benefits of using this container for garden storage.

Trash Can Garden Storage Benefits

      • Makes your garden look tidy between chores.
      • They don't leak keeping your equipment protected.
      • The lid fits very snug keeping critters out.
      • Great for storing seed starting mix and small containers.
      • Affordable, can be purchased at Tractor Supply for under $50
      • They come in multiple sizes, 31, 20, 10 and 6 gallons.

If you have been searching for simple garden storage this might just be the solution to solve that problem.  Best part you don't have to build anything!
