Silverware designed with the essence of nature has been part of the wedding registry for generations. I'm not sure if this is still the case because I remember skipping this entry, since I knew my grandmother would be leaving me hers.
Think about all that beautiful silverware; it seems more and more patterns are ending up in antique or secondhand stores.
For 3 generations, Allmon Heirloom Silverware has been gathering those items to create beautiful jewelry, wind chimes and art.
Meet Sara Allmon
I met Sara Allmon over the weekend when Jefferson was having their Pilgrimage Festival. I like to visit the artisan space which is normally set up by the museum.
Sara was up front and all that beautiful silver caught my attention. There was another lady shopping and we began sharing stories about our grandmothers. It was a refreshing exchange and I couldn't help notice Sara's genuine heart.
As I was browsing, I recognized the silverware cases were included in the display. It was an added detail that brought everything together.
Each piece carried a sense of movement to blend together something new. I could sense somebody enjoyed what they were creating and I stayed and to ask more questions.
Sara has been doing this full time for 10 years and with a smile she shared, "I love what I do."
Silverware Rings and Hearts
I could have purchased one of everything, but I had to be realistic. The rings were fantastic but slightly heavy for my hand as I prefer thinner metal around my fingers.
I thought the hearts were fantastic, easily added as a purse charm and great additions for a necklace or keychain. Next time, I have to get one!
The point I am making is these are nice gifts, especially for the one who already has everything.
The native coin jewelry was another favorite and I forgot to mention she makes earrings. Everything was excellent and there was a good variety.
Allmon Heirloom Silverware Bracelets
It was her heirloom silverware bracelets where my purchase was made. Sara makes it easy to shop with styles in three rows from small, medium to large.
The best part is they are comfortable with a classic design that will always be in style. I was very glad to make this acquaintance and hope to find her again while I am out and about.
You can find Sara Allmon on Instagram and Facebook where she posts upcoming events in addition to new creations. Sara is amazing and you will enjoy the time spent at her booth just as much as your purchase.
Encouraging Goodness,
Carole West
