Ever since I published my first book in 2014, I have been asked a lot of questions about self-publishing.
When I started working with my husband on his writing career those questions multiplied and when we settled in Jefferson the questions kept coming.
Having been through this process many times, I find this is a fair question but there is no short answer.
Choosing how to self-publish has a lot do with your goals, your online presence and if your manuscript has a shelf life.
You can imagine the looks I get when I say this because many believe you just write, click publish and the rest will take care of itself.
I wish it was that simple, but the truth is self-publishing covers many avenues, and they are all important. On September 12th at 5:30pm, I will be teaching a workshop in Jefferson to explain the process.
If you're curious or interested in self-publishing, then this is your opportunity to discover how to begin. The cost is $35, and you need to prepay at the Jefferson Makers Market off HWY 49.
In the beginning I will be sharing a short version of my story about how I went from blogging to self-publishing. Then we will dive into my jam packed eight-step course.
Even if you don't have a manuscript ready, do not hesitate to attend. I am explaining the importance of book market research to see if your idea will sell.
Each participant will receive their own packet and there will be time for questions before we close. I look forward to sharing a positive self-publish workshop for your story. See you there!
